Albert Pepermans
Albert Pepermans (°1947, Kortenberg, Belgium)
Belgian painter Albert Pepermans is renowned for his bold, colorful work, using ink, paint, and paper to create a personal style influenced by Pop Art and Dada. Known for his no-nonsense approach, Pepermans has produced a vast body of work, experimenting with various techniques and themes. His pieces alternate between abstract and figurative, infused with spontaneity and humor, reflecting his personality.
Pepermans has exhibited in major cities like Paris, New York, and Berlin. Notable shows include the Brussels Museum of Modern Art, Documenta IX in Germany, and collaborations with Flemish author Hugo Claus. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including the 2002 World Expo in Hannover. Pepermans describes himself as a "graphic artist with paint and paper," creating dynamic works that reveal more upon closer inspection.
