Krista Autio

Finnish artist Krista Autio (°1968) works and lives in Brussels. Above all, she wants to remain herself and sees her art as a medium in the search for that self. Simplicity and authenticity are only achieved after a meditative, ritualistic and slow process. Starting with a few tangible and intuitive emotions, she listens to what the canvas asks for and carefully pours them out until one hue remains with which she exposes the naked essence.
