Laure Carré’s (°1968) paintings come from within—from the belly, to be precise—from the seat of the soul, reflecting its states. You must remember this when you look at her small and large formats, filled with dogs and wild horses, cowboys and unisex boxers, high mountains and low skies. Laure Carré places equal importance on morning thoughts and distant memories. Each painting, each collage, is a mystery.
