Rein Dufait

Rein Dufait's (°1990) youthful oeuvre explores the grey zone between nature and culture. In this, the creation and growth processes are necessary steps to transform an idea into a work. Although they are sometimes constructed from heavy, cumbersome materials, Dufait's organic works are fragile and transient. They are not static but evolving, making us aware that time is passing. Alongside this and in an outside space, the artist creates works that undergo a metamorphosis and gradually merge into their surroundings.
