Sofie Van Den Bril

Sofie Van den Bril's work catches the eye. Colourful, straightforward and, at the same time, carefully constructed. We visit Sofie in her studio in the ridge of a row house that has been renovated for years. The place is still spotless, the inkwells have yet to be brought in, and a newly acquired etching press steals the show. As we marvel at her work and the view over the Deurn back gardens, Sofie enthusiastically talks about ‘her’ technique and experimenting with colour.
